Biography
| Saara Salmi is a Helsinki based digital artist who gets her inspiration from kitsch, fairy tales, darkness, Christian iconography, pin up, and all things horrible and beautiful. She's done 3 main works since 2003: "Everything You Did Not Want to Know about Alice and the Rabbit", "Heroine" series, and "Starsigns" series that is sold here. She is available for hire (note: doesn't work for free!)  Currently her main project is a touring Neo-Victorian photographic studio called Atelieri O. Haapala, and at the same time she continues putting together pieces in Photoshop and creating her kitschy gothy things. Atelieri O. Haapala and its hundreds of photographs will be exhibited in the Finnish Museum of Photography in 2010. Anyone can become part of it by coming to some of our events and getting themselves portraited!
