Title: And Eat That Damn Apple!
This time it's my dear friend Maria who is playing my lustful character in the Heroine series. She is Snow White, she is Eve from the Paradise. Whatever you want. And she's ready to bite the apple. I take my inspiration from many things: fairy tales, legends, christian mythology, pop art, ads, pin-up.. In this piece I was inspired by both Eve and Snow White plus pin-up babes. I've somehow always thought that the fairy tale of Snow White is an allegory of the falling from Paradise: A woman bites the apple that she was told not to eat, "dies", and lives after a prince comes to resque her. The prince would be Christ. Some sources tell that biting the apple symbolises the sexual awakening. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
